Description
I found a turkey feather in the middle of the arena today, and it was in really good condition so I picked it up and decided to put it in Koda's mane o3o
It took me a while to figure out how I was going to get it to stay in her mane, but now that it's in I'll have to use scissors to get it out again ;lmao:.
I braided about 2" of mane (the length of the pointy part on the feather) and took a mini rubber band and tied off the braid. Then, as a suggestion from PhantomShadows a while ago, I took a few strands of Koda's tail hair and braided them together to make a thread like string, and I threaded it through a hole I made in the base of the feather. I tied the hair-string to the feather, and then I stuck the point of the feather up through the rubber band in the braid. I wove the tip of the feather in and out of the braid a few times, and then took the braided hair-string and wrapped it around the 2" braid & feather tip, and finished it off with a knot at the top of the braid.
You can yank on that feather and it isn't coming out
To get it out I'll have to cut the hair-string.
