First horse to 400 kaaring

Yes, Piccolo #111 is the first, and currently the only, horse registered on the new Kaaring system with 400 kaaring. Last time i counted she had 402, but she's had more art since then so its a bit more, plus i found a ton of foals with her in their linage that are quality blood. So she's got probably around 20+ more points.


Since she's gotten to the highest rank, I thought i'd share my story of her
I also decided to do this because i keep getting random comments like 'OMG SHE'S AT 400?! CONGRATS!!", and since they are so random and spaced out i figure not that many people know, so I'm submitting this so the world will know ;D

Story:
When i first got Piccolo (in the very first mass import), i absolutely hated her design, and I couldn't draw cream horses worth crap. I desperately tried to trade her for another import, i was willing to take any import (as long as it wasn't cream). I asked some friends who also got imports from the first giant importation if they wanted to trade, but they didnt' want to. No one was willing to trade. Lots of people loved her design, but weren't willing to give up the horse they already had for her.

So i didn't draw her for a while after she was registered, mostly because i didn't want to. I dreaded shading her, and lots of her pics went unshaded. But then I decided that even though I was dealt a hand i didn't like, i was going to make it to the top anyway, and i didn't care how long it took. I told myself i'd get her to the highest rank possible. And now i've done it. I've drawn most of her art on my own, (yes, some of it was chibi, but it had a lot more effort than some I've seen). I'm so incredibly proud to have gotten her here, you have absolutely no idea

I am so very thankful to everyone who didn't trade for her, lol. If I hadn't kept her I wouldn't have most of the Nordanners i have now, including Persephone, Makenna, Dakota, Lambert, Granger, and many of the others. I was able to get them all because of her, and i think its amazing you can do so much with one horse...

Since I've gotten her, my art has improved SO much and i've come to love her design. I am now happy with my art, and enjoy looking at my final drawings. I've been finding that i can now point out the anatomy flaws in many of my idol's art, which i find very funny xD.
Its a really weird feeling when you find you are noticing flaws in the art of your idols that you used to think were amazing/scary and that you'd never be as good as them....

Now that i've gotten to where i want to be, i'm basically done with Nordanners. No, this does not mean i'm getting rid of ANY of them. Every single one of them is staying with me. What this means is that after my foal sale and the few other breeding's I have planned (one more zebra, a fawn, a bloodsplash, a blue roan, and one or two more) that I'm DONE breeding for quite a while. And most of the breeding's just listed wont be happening for quite a while anyway. The only reason I will breed again (other than for a foal for myself) is to either have another foal sale that i plan on having every so often (maybe twice a year.... idk) or if i find an opportunity to breed a foal that I CANNOT live without.

After I update references that need to be updated, and design foals that need to be born, i'm going to be moving more into written RPG
With my school homework load getting really heavy this year, i haven't had as much time to draw as I usually would. But since i have free time in class that i'm just using sitting around staring at the wall, i'm going to start writing. I would draw, but I use refs 99% of the time, and i'm not allowed to have my computer out in class to google refs. I tried printing out refs, but i dont know what i feel like drawing until i get a 100% crisp image in my head, or i go through my reference folder and search through 1gb of photos. So printing out refs and using up moms printer ink isn't working. Which is fine by me, because I'd like to get better at writing ^^

I made a journal with ALL the RPG animals/characters that I currently have. I've gone through and pulled out most of the ones that i either don't want anymore or don't know what to do with but don't want to sell/kill off and moved them all to the bottom of the journal. I may pull out a few more though, i haven't fully decided yet. Anyway, I will be having a giant sale of all RPG animals that i dont want. Most will be really cheap, if its an adopt that i got, i'll sell it for the price at which i bought it (most of them around 20 pts). If its one of my established horses, the price will vary based on design/breed/amount of art i've drawn of it. But even those will be pretty cheap. Some i'll just give away to the first person to draw the animal, lol.

So, all in all now that I've gotten to where i want to be, my stable is taking a new direction.

Also, on a side note, now that she's gotten to unlimited breedings, ALL of my affiliates will be getting a free breeding slot to her if they want one
